Angelika Peacock is the "Earthy Artist" both creative and organized.  She is Earthy, Angelic and Unlimited.

 

Angelika Peacock, founder of Earth Angel Unlimited, focuses on community empowerment and wellness, but especially for busy women of color. Daily divine inspirational messages are sent directly to your inbox through her Divine E-Zine. She is dedicated to promoting positive female images of women in Hip-Hop; and works directly with young women in Queens and NYC to cultivate their self-esteem and creative expression.  

 

 

Professional Life Coach & Public Speaker


With over five years of experience in individual counseling, personal life coaching, and art therapy, Angelika has the special gift of empowering others to heal themselves and set goals to achieve their dreams.

 

An interactive public speaker who moves audiences with her energetic, prolific spirit, Angelika has facilitated workshops and presentations at the Youth Development Institute, H2Ed Summit, St. Nick's Preservation Development Corporation Family Literacy Conference, ACT for Youth Statewide Conference, South Asian Youth Action Youth Power Poetry Workshop & Open Mic, National Urban League NULITES Leadership Day, and many more.

 

 

Professional Writer & Publisher

 

While at Union Settlement Association, Angelika published 3 youth poetry anthologies in partnership with Poets & Writers, Inc. In 2003, excerpts from her upcoming Hip Hop guide for youth were published by the Fund for the City of NY's Youth Development Institute in Literacy Links II: Focus on Teens. As an educator, she has developed and implemented curricula on dance, hip hop, sexual health & more. She has also done freelance work for Elite Arts & Science, Fire Magazine, and FreshLikeMe.com

 

 

 

 

Performance Artist

 

Dance/Choreography

 

With over 20 years of experience in dance and 16 years choreographing, Angelika has taught modern, jazz, hip hop and afro-caribbean dance to youth ages 7-21. She was fortunate to have trained at the Gloria Jackson School of Dance, Foster-Laurie Police Athletic League Summer Camp Dance Class, Miss Adele's Dance Center, and the Francis Lewis High School Professional Dance Choreography program all in Queens, NY, and then work with the Dark Arts Performing Dance Company at the University of Delaware. Angelika has taught dance at the National Youth Sports Program and Oasis Children's Services as well as the East Harlem Works, Youth Link, and Tito Puente Performing Arts After School Programs.  

 

 

Poet/Hip Hop Artist

 

Winner of SLAM a poet's competition, rapper and singer, Angelika was the only female poet to rock the mic at the first National Arts SLAM and proceeded to blow the crowd away and overpower the male contestants with poems about the real power of womanhood and women's issues. She attended FemCee Freestyle Ciphers led by Toni Blackman to improve her rap skills and performed freestyle in the 2nd Annual Female Flavor Summit at the Point Community Development Corporation in the Hunts Point area of the Bronx, NY.

 

 

 

Certifications/Education

 

Graduated in 2001, from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Healthy Behavior Management/Specialization in Programming & Leadership in Urban Communities, Youth & Families, minor in Black American Studies/Hip Hop Education.

 

Advancing Youth Development (AYD) Training of Trainers, Youth Development Institute in 2003

 

Successfully completed the Partnership for After School Education (PASE) and CUNY Baruch Emerging Leaders in Youth Services program in 2005.

 

 

 

Planner & Organizer 

 

Angelika is a community organizer and events planner. She has planned conferences in partnership with the Youth Development Institute, H2Ed, Union Settlement Association, The Child Center of NY, and the Queens Borough President's Office.

 

Not only was she pivotal in forming and launching high school clubs and college groups from the Francis Lewis High School Step Team, Nu Gamma Psi, to the University of Delaware's SPIT Poetry Club, the East Harlem Works Hip Hop Literacy project, the Queens Borugh President's Youth Board and more.

 

 

Youth Advocate

 

Passionate about youth issues, Angelika has participated in the Campaign for Summer Jobs and trains youth in civic engagement and how to advocate for their rights even though they aren't old enough to vote. She also used to be very active in the New York Local Organizing Committee of the National Hip Hop Political Convention.
