Angelika Peacock, founder of Earth Angel Unlimited, focuses on community empowerment and wellness, especially for busy women. Professional Writer & Publisher While at Union Settlement Association, Angelika published 3 youth poetry anthologies in partnership with Poets & Writers, Inc. In 2003, excerpts from her upcoming Hip Hop guide for youth were published by the Fund for the City of NY's Youth Development Institute in Literacy Links II: Focus on Teens. As an educator, she has developed and implemented curricula on dance, hip hop, sexual health & more. She has also done freelance work for FreshLikeMe.com, Elite Arts & Science, Fire Magazine, and Goddesses Rising. | | Performance Artist Dance/Choreography With over 20 years of experience in dance and 16 years choreographing, Angelika has taught modern, jazz, hip hop and afro-caribbean dance to youth ages 7-21. She was fortunate to have trained at the Gloria Jackson School of Dance, Foster-Laurie Police Athletic League Summer Camp Dance Class, Miss Adele's Dance Center, and the Francis Lewis High School Professional Dance Choreography program all in Queens, NY, and then work with the Dark Arts Performing Dance Company at the University of Delaware. Angelika has taught dance at the National Youth Sports Program and Oasis Children's Services as well as the East Harlem Works, Youth Link, and Tito Puente Performing Arts After School Programs. Poet/Hip Hop Artist Winner of SLAM a poet's competition, Angelika was the only female poet to rock the mic at the first National Arts SLAM and proceeded to blow the crowd away and overpower the male contestants with poems about the real power of womanhood and women's issues. She attended FemCee Freestyle Ciphers led by Toni Blackman to improve her rap skills and performed freestyle in the 2nd Annual Female Flavor Summit at the Point Community Development Corporation in the Hunts Point area of the Bronx, NY. Since then she has written more songs, been in the studio with Fortune (music producer) and rap artist, Just Sayin'.
